New Installation

When Replacement Is Needed

  • EICR has flagged C1 or C2 issues
  • Renovating walls or floors gives easy access
  • Adding extensions, kitchens or bathrooms

Installation Steps

  1. Design

    • Plan circuits, lighting and socket layout
    • Agree positions room by room
  2. First Fix

    • Run cables through walls, floors and ceilings
    • Fit back-boxes and consumer unit
  3. Second Fix

    • Install sockets, switches and light fittings
    • Connect appliances and smart devices
  4. Testing

    • Insulation resistance, continuity and RCD tests
    • Issue Electrical Installation Certificate
  5. Certification

    • Notify Building Control via competent person scheme
    • Provide compliance paperwork
